What to Expect

As a new patient you may have some questions about what to expect on your first visit to our clinic. Here are some things to keep in mind:

Insurance Forms

We offer two ways for you to get set up as a new patient: you can either complete the patient/insurance forms in our office 15 minutes before your appointment, or you can download our private insurance patient paperwork or MVA/workers’s compensation paperwork right here. Just print, complete and either email/fax them to us ahead of time or bring them to your appointment.

What to Wear

Comfortable, loose fitting clothing allow you to be comfortable and your therapist the means to properly access the area(s) you are having difficulty with.

Length of Visit

Please allow an hour for your first appointment.

Type of Exam

Your physical therapist (PT) will perform an evaluation, assessing the area of your complaint and will initiate a course of care best suited for you. Your questions and comments are welcome as this helps us to understand your needs and expectations.

You will generally be offered specific guidance related to activity limitations, simple exercise and posture suggestions, along with home care offerings to get you feeling better as soon as possible.

Early treatment emphasizes pain reduction which will allow you to return to functioning. A progression of exercise as well as manually based treatment options will be modified to meet your specific needs. Our goal is to get you back to your normal level of activity, sports performance and work responsibilities as quickly as possible.
