  • patient and therapist discussing pain problems at physical therapy initial evaluation

    Physical Therapy Evaluation

At your first visit, your physical therapist will listen to your story, walk you through specific movement tests & measures, then review the most important factors to address going forward with treatment both in the clinic and at home.

It is important to wear (or bring) appropriate clothing for your first visit to make sure your therapist can get an accurate assessment of you & your movement patterns. For example, wear a tank top or sports bra for a shoulder evaluation & wear shorts for a hip, knee, or ankle evaluation.
